Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 12β11 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (412) 318-4310. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is honghotpot.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

We visited Hong Hot Pot & BBQ to celebrate several special milestones together: a belated anniversary, my upcoming birthday, and my son-in-law completing his medical residency and preparing to begin his career as an attending physician. It was a fabulous choice by my son-in-law and overall we had a very enjoyable experience. The food was fresh, plentiful and the interactive dining experience made the evening feel fun and memorable. The cocktails were also very tasty and a great addition to the overall dining experience. It was a wonderful place for celebrating and sharing quality family time. Our waitress was absolutely outstanding, friendly, attentive and truly over the top in making sure we had everything we needed. Her service was excellent throughout the meal and I appreciated her so much that I tipped well over 20%. The only disappointing part came at the end. Around the 1.5 hour mark, our waitress brought the bill but told us not to worry and encouraged us to enjoy dessert. We noticed several other tables were still actively ordering meats and continuing their meals. However, exactly at the 2 hour mark, we were told we had to leave immediately and I was asked to take

Carlyle was amazing and made our first experience here unforgettable! He was personable, patient, attentive, and genuinely one of the best servers we've had. We enjoyed our experience so much that we specifically requested him when we came back for a second visit. The atmosphere is great! The tables are large and you have more elbow room compared to other hot pot places. The menu is huge!

really enjoyed the food here! Everything tasted good and the atmosphere was really nice. The male server who took care of our table was very attentive and initiative he checked on us several times and made sure we were comfortable throughout the meal, which I really appreciated. I also tried the Thai boba. Personally, I think it could be a little sweeter, but thatβs just my preference π Overall, such a good experience and I would definitely come back!

This was our first time trying a hot pot place, but such a fun experience. They do charge for any leftover food, including your broth, and it's roughly $15.99/lb. The broth was flavorful and plenty hot, and I was happy with all of the options we chose. The upon noodles were my favorite, and all the meat we ordered was yummy too. They have a sauce bar that had some kind of sweet/savory garlic sauce that was excellent mixed into the broth. We enjoyed our food so much we forgot to take photos, bit we did order boba for dessert which was excellent! Unfortunately if you have food allergies, there's a lot of visible cross contamination at the sauce bar, but our server brought us a list of the tree nut and sesame free options on the menu. Definitely looking forward to coming back!
